Louisville needs real mass transit.Â
While we have TARC, which does provide bus service to some areas of Louisville, the service is extraordinarily infrequent and impractical. While the new Dixie BRT is an improvement, it is still not proper mass transit. What Louisville wants and needs, is a good passenger rail network, that understands the needs and values of Louisvillians. While in some places and projects the price of passenger rail can skyrocket, with careful planning, operational measures, and construction materials and expertise found in our city, rail can be very affordable.
